Chocolate Chili


ONE
coconut oil
2 medium onions, chopped
6 cloves garlic, pressed

TWO
2 lbs ground beef, 95/5

THREE
1 t oregano
2 t chili powder
2 T ground cumin
2T unsweetened cocoa powder
1 t allspice
1 t salt, or to taste

FOUR
15oz fire-roasted chopped tomatoes
15 oz water

IN a large pot, saute ONE until translucent. Add the meat, breaking it up with your hands, breaking any bog lumps with a wooden spoon. Cooked until no longer pink. Add THREE and mix well. Add FOUR and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for two hours (yeah, 2 hours). Serve with a bed of fresh spinach and a side of sweet potato "fries" or plantains.
